Workshops

"I have always wanted to try pottery!" This is one of the most commonly heard statements when I am at an art or craft event. For this reason I have created group workshops where you can gather your friends, have fun and create art.

In every workshop participants create 1-2 custom pieces of functional pottery. All supplies and tools are provided.  Each participant is able to personalize their artwork through the patterns and/or colors they choose.

Workshops are broken down into two (2) sessions, one for creating your masterpieces and another for glazing. The second session takes place approximately 6-8 weeks after the first.

The completed pieces are food safe, functional and a great as gifts or a lovely addition to your home. 

Each workshop is a bit different. The finished artwork which is ALL functional will be unique.  Here are a few guidelines to help determine if Pottery by Carrie workshop is right for you.

• The number of attendees for a workshop needs to be between 5-8 participants. 

• These workshops take place in my Home Studio located on a lower level of the home. You will need to walk through the home and navigate a flight of stairs to participate in the workshop.

• All workshop participants need to create the same type of item. Each persons art will look different when completed but you do need to work from the same lesson plan.

• Workshops are currently evenings only (M-F) and can begin between 5:30pm-7:00pm 

• Workshop sessions run from 2-3 hours depending on the items being created and the artists. 

• You may get messy but that was the best part of being a kid, right? Dress accordingly.

• There is a small dog on the premises and many times joins the workshops. He's friendly and can be kept out of the workshop area if necessary.
